- 1 cup washing soda
- 1 cup baking soda
- 1/4 cup citric acid
- 1 cup salt
- 1/4 cup water
- 5-10 drops lemon essential oil (optional)
How to Make Your Own Dish Soap:
Combine washing soda, baking soda, salt, and citric acid in a large bowl. You can find citric acid at a pastry shop.
Now add water until the mixture resembles coarse sand. This mixture will bubble and fizz.
For a more pungent lemon scent, add 5 to 10 drops of lemon essential oil, and add an antibacterial cleanser
Place the mixture in an ice cube tray or square mold, and press down with your fingertips until the tabs tighten. Let it dry for a few hours or overnight, then remove the mold from the container.
